Maroon Saucer Hat

Saucer hat made from hand dyed sinamay (woven straw) in maroon and navy. Three hand curled ostrich spines adorn the top of the hat. Hat is trimmed around the edge with a maroon embroidered trim. Hat sits on a circular navy base of vintage straw braid and is secured with an elastic band that goes under the hair. Hat was made by blocking the straw over a wooden form. One-of-a-kind handmade hat using traditional millinery techniques.
